Amoena relies on multishop system with Dynamics NAV integration
Overview
Amoena is planning to set up B2B sites and microsites for multiple countries worldwide, which all access the same product data and are managed centrally through a single shop system. With the help of the integrated shop system selected markets will receive B2B sites for business customers.
The first task was to implement an Content Managment System as a product information system (PIM) for the Amoena product range. At the same time, we set up a multi-shop system and connected it to the first ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the US.
The solution in detail
For the ERP connection, the tried-and-tested B2B-Connector is used. The Ibxa platform with integrated CMS also serves as a central PIM and a multi-shop platform.
In Ibexa Commerce, all Amoena product data will be stored. The product display for the various shops is managed via a mature rights management system of the Ibexa platform. For the smaller microsites, content is assigned via the definition of various locations. Information is already available in different languages, and the list of languages is continually added to.
By assigning code numbers in the article details, different size charts and list prices are obtained from the ERP and imported into the PIM for each country.
The B2B shop for the US was the first one to go live. In the B2B shop, more than 200 different models and some 2800 product variants are available.
The online shop offers a comprehensive product overview including display of available colours. A separate detailed product view is available for the basic product groups lingerie and forms, adjusted to the different product properties. A detailed view displays matching accessories and combination items. These articles are assigned through the backend of the shop.
Stock level as well as individual business customer prices are obtained from the ERP at runtime.
A detailed search function including an auto-suggest function was implemented using the powerful search engine of the Ibexa platform. The overview of results is visually appealing and contains images.
A special feature of the Amoena product range are the so-called high altitude products. A special workflow was implemented for them via the shop and the ERP. If a trader’s location is above a certain altitude (stored in the ERP), delivery is made from a special warehouse to ensure that the quality of silicone products is not compromised due to differences in altitude pressure.
The customer account contains an order history where all previous orders and deliveries can be accessed. A quick-order form allows customers to order catalogue items quickly.
In addition to the shop, the Ibexa platform also gives the option of maintaining other pages and create a comprehensive portal that way. Amoena has a news category, for instance, which is administered in the CMS.
The result
With th new Ibexa-based e-commerce platfrom, Amoena now has a powerful and expandable multi-shop system that is connected to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In future, product data will be managed centrally and can be made available for B2B sites in other countries with very little effort. An online catalogue is currently being created for end customers for the re-launch of the pre-existing shop for end customers in the UK.
