Overview

For Goeke Batterien GmbH silver.solutions have implemented a B2B online shop with connection to Navision. The solution is based on the Ibexa platform and uses the B2B-Connector as an interface to Navision.

The solution in detail

Articles can be edited by users directly in the Ibexa CMS. The Ibexa platform provides a sophisticated roles and policies management, so that it is possible to differentiate between users using different functionalities in the shop. The online shop offers an automated import function of products from Navision, as well as nightly updates, extensive shopping basket functionalities and several service functions.

In the shop the existing Navision product group structure gets mapped onto a 4-level navigation. Sorting is done by product groups, sub groups, manufacturer and models. The product detail page provides the customer with the possibilty of downloading additional information in PDF format or create PDF product data sheets directly from the detailed view (if he has the necessary permissions). Product images get watermarked in an automated procedure. Only customer with special permissions are allowed to see and download the product images without watermarks. The product detail page displays articles other customers bought together with this product. It is possible to search for compatible products for the relevant article at the touch of a button.

The advanced search allows searching for product properties and technical data such as model, voltage, capacity, weight etc. Furthermore a professional search is available which is based on the Apache search engine Lucene. Integrated in the shop is a customer center that enables authorized customers to activate and manage other contacts of his company.

Further functions in the shop are: order history, display price lists, Top10/My Top10, quick order, bookmarks.

The result

The integration of an advanced search for technical data allows the customer to search fast and targeted for products also from different manufacturers. Via the well structured catalog requested products can be found easily. The connection to Navision via the B2B-Connector provides the display of individual prices and up-to-date stock information. In the order history section customers can see their orders, invoices and back orders. The quick order form provides a quick and comfortable order possibilty of frequently ordered articles (by article number). A range of service functions (e.g. bookmark function, ordering with customer-own article numbers) makes the shopping process for Goeke customers even more comfortable.
