Fanshop for FC Augsburg with Dynamics NAV integration
Overview
The aim of the project was to create a modern online shop for the fan and team articles of FC Augsburg. The shop was to obtain its data directly from the ERP system of the official provider JAKO and hence always keep the latest range in stock.
The solution in detail
The shop utilises the proven e-commerce solutions from silver.solutions, which has successfully been in use for the JAKO B2B dealer shop. The integration in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV is realised via the B2B-Connector. The CMS included in the scope of supply of silver.eshop allows further pages to be compiled or updated as well as the creation of an entire portal, e.g. for information on the FCA Café in Augsburg or the Fan Shop of the FCA.
The shop has been specially optimised for the clothing segment and supports all product variants usual there, such as sizes, colours, styles etc. The information on the product variants is obtained directly from NAV. Users must register as new users to make purchases from the shop. Fans can use the “Tip-a-friend” function to recommend individual articles to friends.
Further functions can be implemented at any time, if required. Thus, for example, Paypal will soon also be available as a payment option, besides credit card payment and direct debit.
The result
The FCA Fan Shop allows fans of the Augsburg Football Club to order fan articles from throughout Europe, without having to be there locally. The shop represents an ideal complement to the FCA Café in Augsburg, the physical shop for fan articles of the club. The direct link to the ERP system of the official provider means that the FCA Café can offer all available fan articles on a daily basis, especially products that are less in demand or not kept in stock in the physical shop.
