silver.solutions implements online shop with SAP-OCI integration for WOCKEN
Overview
silver.solutions together with tso data GmbH implemented the shop solution for WOCKEN Industriepartner based on the Ibexa platform. Modules developed by silver.solutions extend the functionality of the CMS.
The solution in detail
The shop provides e-procurement via eB2B platform. (eB2B is a software solution that helps companies to map, regulate and optimise fundamental business processes straightforwardly on the Internet. eB2B supports for example the purchase of C parts and industrial goods (Procurement).)
The integrated SAP OCI is a special feature of the solution, alongside extensive shop functions e.g. different views for product categories, sub categories or article groups, different user rights & roles (only registered and logged in users are allowed to order), shopping cart, article import functions and order history. By requesting a certain URL the customer is guided to the shop of the selected catalogue where he then can fill his shopping cart. After submitting the order the shop sends the shopping cart via OCI to eB2B. eB2B now checks in a central user database, if a release of the goods ordered is required. EB2B only triggers an order if the goods to be ordered do not require a release or if they have been released already. The customer then receives an order confirmation from the shop.
Of course it is possible to order products online from a wide range of products (70.000 products) without using the eB2B platform.
The result
The integration of OCI (Open Catalog Interface) makes it possible for WOCKEN customers to access the WOCKEN catalogue asily using the eB2B platform and order the required products. Thus the customer can use the platform to order things from different suppliers. Any services connected to the order can be handled directly via the platform which reduces the internal costs of the delivering process. WOCKEN offers his customers an easy shopping opportunity.
The OCI also allows customers using ‘SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional’ to integrate the shop catalogue into their ERP system.
