The project objective was the implementation of a new online shop for dealers that integrates seamlessly into the companies processes connecting directly to the SAP system.
To compete in a tough market, Dolly Dimple’s wanted to broaden its sales reach through a webbased e-commerce portal. Dolly Dimple’s has a call center in Oslo with approximately 60 employees. The goal was to decrease the number of staff in the call center by automating the order and payment process through the web portal.
In addition to the expected functionality, the e-commerce solution had to be integrated into Dolly Dimple’s ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV [Navision]) to handle the availability of ingredients at each location. For example, if a restaurant location is out of onions, a customer ordering a pizza with onions from that location should get a message during the order process informing her that onions are not available.
Dolly Dimple’s also had the goal of enhancing the user experience and service level by giving the customer full control over the order and payment process. A web-based portal would increase availability and visualize the entire process for the customer, from pizza creation to the payment process.
silver.solutions was tasked with the setup of a shop portal for different specialized areas of the Vincentz Network with a wide range of functions for a wide range of products. The range of products in the Vincentz group covers books, games, CDs, but also email newsletters, downloads, booking of advertising space and subscriptions (of magazines), events as well as standing orders for book series or calendars. It is required that users can order in the shop anonymous as well as registered. Furthermore the shop will be used by private customers as well as business customers. A connection to Microsoft Dynamics NAV is absolutely necessary because data administration incl. images, PDF files, etc. takes entirely place in the ERP system.

For Goeke Batterien GmbH silver.solutions have implemented a B2B online shop with connection to Navision. The solution is based on the Ibexa platform and uses the B2B-Connector as an interface to Navision.
Project task was the development a new Web presence based on the Ibexa platform (after the Center’s strategic reorientation in September 2005) with complete redesign. The navigation structure underwent a complete revision. Further aspects to consider were the requirements for accessibility, multiple languages and the wish for micro-sites.
